Role-Playing

For those of you who are new to the role-playing experience, I'd like to offer my view on the subject. For many years, people have associated this type of game with devil worship, suicidal tendencies... etc! It just is not so. These things and others of the sort are still present in our world today, having absolutely nothing to do with role-playing.

Most people everyday are exposed to some sort of role-playing without even realizing it. There's the salesclerk who pretends the customer is always right even though it may not be or the coworker who pretends to like his fellow employee only because they must work together. Better yet, the politician who pretends to be a fine upstanding citizen. You see, one way or another, we all play a role.

Wouldn't it be much more enjoyable to do it because we want to? Being involved in a role- playing adventure, is a healthy, and enjoyable way to express yourself ,not to mention a good way to vent your frustrations safely.

You can be a Noble knight on a quest to save the crown or the elvan princess in search for a cure because a plague is destroying her homeland. You can gather great riches and property. You may choose to be a hero or heroine. you can defeat evil where it exist........etc. I think you get my meaning.

Let's not forget the educational side to role-playing adventures. As you progress in your games, you learn a great deal about such things as Geology, history, botany, oceanography, mythology, only to name a few. This is a game where your mind sets the limits. As you exercise the brain, you may actually have a better state of metal being. It's a proven fact that the more we use our minds, the longer we'll keep our wits about us. So if you are presently involved in role-playing adventures....keep it up. If you are new to the experience, try it and have a great adventure.

About the Tri-Level Game Aid

When I first came up with the Tri-L.G.A, we were role-playing a very intense aerial campaign.  An argument broke out over the trajectory of the large missile weapons from the battle above, and their effects on the ground force positions. Needless to say, at that time we could not support our theory. By the time we were done playing, I had come up with the Game Aid. The next time we played, I had a working model of the board w/ lights for simulated night adventuring. My comrades where amazed. After a brief explanation of how to use it, we re-enacted the previous battle in question. The referee admitted he was wrong. We have not played without it since.

It can adapt to just about any RPG, whether you play a Fighter Pilot, Super Hero, Sea Captain, Robot Warrior, Wizard, Witch,...the list goes on! This board is a welcome addition to your role-playing or miniature collection. When you turn the room lights out, and the board lights on, it makes for some really cool adventuring.
